Mini-Size Me!Well, First of all, watching Michael Moore's "Super Size ME" might help to guide you in making better choices with food. But if you are faced with the inevitable choice of eating fast food, follow the rules below:- Fish & White Meat: Try going for fish or chicken burgers as they are lower in fat. Beef, pork and lamb contain more calories and saturated fats- Grilled, Broiled: Opt for grilled and broiled meat instead of deep-fried maryland chicken.- Ask for More Veggies: Most fast food joints now allow you to ask for more veggies. Do it.- No/Less Sauce: Have you tried burgers without mayo? Honestly, it's not very appetizing. So start off by asking for "less" sauce. Unless you are already accustomed to no-sauce, then that's good for you cos the calories in the sauce can kill you.- Salad instead of fries: Replace your fries with salad, corn cup, apples etc. Fries are bad for you, and are the leading causes of artery blockages.- Water, Juice, Milk over soft drinks: If you can, try to abstain from carbonated drinks. They are high in sugar and have ZERO nutritional value. If you must, go the diet-version, although it is still high in artficial sweeteners. And lastly, when you are asked for "up-size?", SAY NO!
